There are many ways to upgrade your Linux Kernel using Synaptics, command line and so. The Ukuu utility is the simply solution to manager your Ubuntu/Linux Mint kernels. If you want to test new fixes in the Linux Kernel then you can install Mainline Kernels released by Ubuntu team but mainline Kernels are intended to use for testing purposes only (so be careful).
Before proceeding to install this application in your system, you need to understand what you are going to do because generally you are not intended to this. If you install a new kernel and it fails to work properly or fails to recognize a piece of hardware then solution is that you can choose old kernel option from GRUB menu and boot. You can also remove new kernel that are creating issues.

Fetches list of kernels from kernel.ubuntu.com.
Displays notifications when a new kernel update is available.
Downloads and installs packages automatically.

If you don't want to add following PPA then download Deb file.
