If you are Linux user from couple of years then you may know about 'remastersys' program, which is a free and open source program for Debian, Ubuntu-based, Linux Mint or derivative software systems that can: Create a customized Live CD/Live USB (a remaster) of Debian and its derivatives. The people of Pinguy OS distribution forked this great project called it "pinguybuilder" and made it available again for Ubuntu and its derivatives. It can create a livecd of the installed system and works with Ubuntu and its derivatives systems. You can either make a distributable livecd or make a backup of your entire system, so you can use it later if something goes wrong with your operating system.
It has front-end GUI; full EFI support including EFI system partition; Populate pool folder with grub-efi for offline installing; Update grub entry with the named used for the CD label; Uses XZ to compress the filesystem.squashfs for smaller ISO size.

Note: There are two versions available (Version 3.* works with Ubuntu and its derivative systems 14.04) and (Version 4.* works with Ubuntu and its derivative systems 15.04+)

Have you ever though backups can make your life easier, do you make backups of your important data? or your backups usually outdated because you forgot to make a backup at the right time. I believe not much people make regular backups because many tools are too complicated or people simply don't have enough time.
Duplicati is very simple advanced tool that can solve your backup problems, it is free backup client that securely stores encrypted, incremental, compressed backups on cloud storage services and remote file servers. Duplicati is open source software (LGPL), written in C# and available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. The Duplicati project started as "duplicity for Windows" but then went its own way. It works with Amazon S3, Windows Live SkyDrive, Google Drive (Google Docs), Rackspace Cloud Files or WebDAV, SSH, FTP (and many more). Duplicati has a built-in scheduler, so that it's easy to have a regular, up-to-date backup. Furthermore, Duplicati uses file compression and is able to store incremental backups to save storage space and bandwidth.
Camicri Cube is an great portable application developed by Jake Capangpangan for Linux, it is written in C# language which uses Microsoft .Net framework and it is cross-platform application (runs on Linux distributions and Windows). This application is under license GPL-v2 and freely available. Basically this application allow you to download packages from repositories and save them for later, so in this case you can install them when you are offline(no Internet connection required).
It is developed for those users who have slow Internet or offline Linux community, to make their life easier with offline package installation. So they don't need to install packages again from Internet after fresh install, simply they can run this program and use backup packages.
Camicri-Cube uses third party download accelerators (Aria2 and Axel) that has a multi-segment/multi-connection feature to speed up downloading of packages and repositories. Download Resuming for both is also supported.
