Install Gnome-Do in Ubuntu 14.04/13.10/12.10/12.04/Linux Mint 16/14/13/other Ubuntu derivatives
Do is an intelligent launcher tool that makes performing common tasks on your computer simple and efficient. Do not only allows you to search for items in your desktop environment (e.g. applications, contacts, bookmarks, files, music), it also allows you to specify actions to perform on search results (e.g. Run, Open, Email, Chat, Play, etc.) and it allows you to quickly search for many items present in your GNOME desktop environment (applications, Firefox bookmarks, files, artists and albums in Rhythmbox, Pidgin buddies, etc.).
GNOME Do is plugin based, allowing it to be easily extended to handle new items and actions. This package contains a core set of items and actions.
Rhythmbox support: Control playback, browse your music library, or search by artist or album.
Do's themes: Classic, Mini, Glass, and the newly added Nouveau, and support gorgeous animations and drop-shadows.
Gnome-Do is available in default Ubuntu repositories, To install Gnome-Do & its plugins in Ubuntu/Linux Mint open Terminal (Press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy the following command in the terminal:
